Herta Scheurle es amiga de mi familia. Mis padres se conocieron a través de ella. Sin embargo, recién durante el 2013 y a raíz de un viaje que realizamos juntas, comenzó a abrir su mundo acerca de su experiencia artística en su juventud. Entendí que escondía un universo creativo que merecía sacarlo a la luz. Comencé a grabar nuestros encuentros y a investigar acerca de su vida. Sentí la necesidad de darle la posibilidad de participar en una película, tras aquel sueño frustrado que tuvo con Fassbinder. Y al mismo tiempo, sentí que su historia reflejaba en mi también la necesidad de realizar una película como directora.
Herta Scheurle is a family friend. She introduced my parents to each other. However, in 2013 and immediately after a trip we took together, she began telling me about her artistic experiences in her younger years. I understood she had a rich creative universe hidden, which deserved to be brought to light. I started recording our meetings and researching her stories. I felt the need to give her the opportunity to participate in a film, after that dream had been frustrated with Fassbinder. And at the same time, I felt her story reflected in mine, the need to make a film as a director.
